About the Journal:
The scientific journal, Frontiers for Young Minds, has approved our article for publication titled, “Do Your School Results Show Everything You Learn?” We are quite excited by this due to their novel process of including young minds in the publication process. They describe this as “the best way to make cutting-edge science discoveries available to younger audiences is to enable young people and scientists to work together to create articles that are both top quality and exciting.”
Abstract:
School tests show how well you know math, science, or reading—but they don’t always show everything that makes you special. Being creative, helping friends, bouncing back from mistakes, or coming up with new ideas are just as important as getting good grades. Around the world, teachers and researchers are finding better ways to recognize these abilities, which are called 21st Century Competencies. These include skills like creativity and communication, character traits like courage and resilience, and ways of learning how to learn better. New tools—like Beyond Education’s tool—help students reflect on their strengths, not with right or wrong answers, but with questions about how they think and act so they can better understand themselves and grow. Because in today’s fast-changing world, success depends on much more than memorizing facts—it’s about becoming the kind of person who can adapt and lead.
